Donations save lives! Take action now to help Rescue, Rehabilitate & Rehome dogs in need.

The plain and simple truth is that individual donations like yours help save dogs from dying alone in shelters. Donations fund our rescue transport caravans. Donations help with vet bills for neglected and mistreated dogs. Donations help us feed and nurture dogs back to health and happiness for a second chance at life!

With your gift we can continue to save lives. No donation is too small.

What does it cost 3R to rescue a dog?

Expenses vary depending on the individual needs of each dog, but veterinary bills continue to top the list. Below are examples of both routine and rehabilitative medical care we provide in order to responsibly prepare dogs for adoption.

  • Spay/Neuter: $75-$350 (Cost depends on size of dog and location, but all 3R dogs are altered in order to combat pet over-population.)
  • Rabies and Routine Vaccinations: $150-300
  • Antibiotic and/or medical treatment for conditions inherent to shelter life such kennel cough or giardia: $100 and up
  • Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention/Testing: $100-$200
  • Fecal Parasite Testing and Worming: $50-$150
  • Microchip: $45+
  • Teeth Cleaning: $200 and up
  • Tooth Extraction Surgery: $300-$600 (Cleanings/extractions are performed only as needed upon professional advisement for the health of the animal.)
  • Grooming: $75-$200 (Performed in severe cases where a professional is needed. Otherwise, performed by experienced 3R volunteers at no cost.)
  • Surgical Procedures: Varies and can be in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars (Examples include - broken bones, eye removals, etc. stemming from neglect or abuse.)

Aside from vet bills, some dogs require behavioral/training rehabilitation to prepare them for adoption. There are also the ongoing expenses of providing food, shelter, supplies and transportation in the course of rescue operations. Each is vital to our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need of a second chance…and every little bit helps.
