Volunteers make it possible.
3R Rescue is grateful for the many volunteers that have donated their time over the years. Volunteers play a key role in delivering our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need. We invite you to read about the various teams that support our operation, then review our Current Volunteer Openings to learn about our present volunteer needs. Our needs change regularly, so check back often!
Animal Care Team
Keeping our dogs healthy and happy while they find a new home is of utmost importance to 3R Rescue. Our Animal Care Volunteers assist in implementing specialized protocols that are designed to meet the unique needs of each individual dog. This includes structured socialization and exercise through walks, playtime and training. This team may also assist with transport, feeding, bathing, grooming, kennel tending and facility cleanup activities. Check for current openings.
Behind-the-scenes activities also keep our rescue operation running smoothly. This team assists with adoption processing, records management, data entry, filing/copying, correspondence, volunteer coordination, supply inventory, etc. Check for current openings.
Fundraising & Special Events Team
The goal of this dynamic volunteer team is to raise money and create awareness for our cause and mission. Roles range from grant writing, event committee planning, booth setup/teardown, community outreach, soliciting auction donations, and more. Check for current openings.
Marketing & Communications
This team is comprised of skilled volunteers that lend expertise in the areas of PR, marketing, webdesign, journalism, social media management, photography/videography. Most are industry professionals who volunteer in their spare time. Check for current openings.
Junior Ambassador Team
We are excited by the number of inquiries regarding youth interest in helping animals! While most of our ongoing volunteer positions require a minimum age of 18, we are in the process of developing our 3R Junior Ambassador Program. Soon, we hope to offer structured opportunities for you to bring your minor children to the rescue where they can walk/socialize dogs. The outing will include youth education on topics such as animal safety, canine body language/behavior, empathy toward animals and responsible pet ownership.
Currently, children and teens in our community provide valuable support to 3R Rescue by organizing independent collection drives for needed supplies. Some have hosted dog-themed birthday parties/sleep-overs where rescue supply donations were collected in lieu of gifts. Others ideas include craft projects to fundraise for the rescue, wrapping treat/goodie bags for 3R Event Booths, and sharing our social media posts to help find homes for adoptable dogs!
Please Note: We greatly appreciate all volunteer inquiries, but our organization is still growing and we cannot guarantee accommodation of each applicant's availability. Our volunteer needs and schedule change quarterly, so check back often for Current Volunteer Openings.
