Below are some options and tips to explore if you're considering surrendering your pet.

• If behavioral issues are leading your consideration to surrender your animal, please speak with your veterinarian to rule out a medical reason for the behavior. Your veterinarian may also be able to connect you with local animal behaviorists and/or trainers. 
• If you need to rehome your pet, post a photo and bio of your pet on your social media accounts. Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers or others about your pet.
• Contact a breed-specific rescue if your pet meets the criteria.
